Why you got into gaming and stuck with it
Well. Now I have time for another subject. I rolled a dice, and this is the one that I got to do. I don't think I'll have as much to say on this, as on the other subjects I've covered, and while it may merit more attention, I feel it is a lot like trying to explain why mead or ice cream tastes good. I
Why you got into gaming and stuck with it
I started roleplaying at about age 9. I had a few friends at the club I went to after school, and they introduced me to Drager og Dæmoner, a Swedish RP system, translated from Swedish to Danish. I still have those books, and long for some of the bloody combats that seem almost inevitable there. Limbs come flying off at about the same rate as in the movie 300. We also played some red box D&D, and later went on to AD&D 2nd ed, which is what we stuck with, until 3.0 and 3.5 came out. We also had a few ventures into Shadowrun and Twilight 2000, but they didn't stick.
One of the things I like about roleplaying is that it makes the use of your imagination necessary, and that anything you imagine is possible. Another is the social aspect. Sitting around a table with friends, and just having fun.

My dear friend Hafwit, decided that one of the topics was to be Hair. Why the heck he decided
Since I have no real idea of what I intend to write, I'll start with that one.
Hair
I have long hair. My first ever visit to a hairdresser about 3 or 4 weeks back, got me a compliment on it. 'You have lovely hair'. Until then, it's been my mother, my sister, and my grandmother who gave me haircuts. The last two, only once or twice each. I've had a good deal of compliments from various women through the time I've had long hair. Apparently, it's because they want it for themselves. Sad news for them: you can't have it!
It's a nice feeling, having long hair. Headbanging makes it necessary.
Long hair, the buzz cut, or baldness, is all that looks good on men. Anything else looks effing weird, and somewhat wrong to me.
My opinion on this matter, is fact. And that's all there is to say to that. |
